ORDERING A TAXI

What information do I need when ordering a taxi?
Always keep your street name and number at hand, as well as your mobile number. This way we can be of service quickly.

Can I order a taxi for a specific time?
Yes, you can book a Bato passenger taxi 24 hours a day.

How long is the waiting time after I ordered a taxi?
The average waiting time is 5 to 10 minutes. By abnormal weather conditions, in the night hours, and during rush hour it may take a little longer.

Do I get a confirmation after ordering a taxi?
Only if you are using the reservation module on our website. You will receive an email confirming your reservation. Caution! This email may end up in your spam folder. If you’ve entered your mobile phone or your home number, you will also receive a message at what time you can expect our driver.

RATES

Does Bato Personenvervoer use a fixed rate for rides to the airport?
We use fixed rates as much as possible. Through the reservation and booking module on our website you can calculate the rate from your address to Schiphol.

Can I pre-arrange a fixed price?
A fixed price can only be made with our dispatch centre. Our drivers may only depart from the fixed rate if they have explicit permission from our operators. Through the reservation and booking module on our website you can calculate the rate, as well as making a reservation.

Is there a price difference between a sedan, station wagon and/or van?
Sedans and station wagons are covered by the same rate. Vans have different rates. See the rates on our website.

DURING THE TAXI RIDE

How many people are allowed in a taxi?
A sedan can take four people, a bus 5, 6, 7 or 8 people.

Does the driver have a navigation system on board?
Yes, all Bato passenger drivers have a navigation system in their car. However, they also know the streets quite well, and don’t always need the system.

Can I make phone calls in a taxi?
Yes, unless the driver indicates that he or she objects.

Our cars are equipped with Wi-Fi so you can make use of the Internet during your transport.


Does the driver take the shortest or the fastest route?

A Bato passenger driver will automatically take the shortest route. During rush hour or road blocks, the driver may consult with you about the shortest and safest route.

Are Bato passenger drivers exempt from bus lane restrictions?
Yes, all Bato passenger drivers are exempt from bus or tram lane restrictions. That means they can make use of bus lanes in order to avoid traffic at junctions.

PAYMENT

Can I pay with my credit card?
Yes, you can use credit cards in all Bato passenger taxis, except Diners Club and American Express.

Can I pay with an ATM card?
Yes, you can use ATM cards in all Bato passenger taxis.

Do the drivers have sufficient change?
Yes, all drivers have sufficient change on board.

Can I pay with foreign currency?
Generally our drivers accept American dollars and British pounds. If you would like to pay with one of these currencies, please indicate when placing your order.

Can I pay for the taxi in advance?
Yes, that is possible. You can send an email to centrale@batopersonenvervoer.nl. Once we receive the amount, we will place the reservation. When booking, you can also use iDEAL payment via the website.

Can I travel on credit?
Yes, you can, whether you are a private individual or a company. If you’d like to travel on credit, please take a look at the possibilities we offer. Please contact our dispatch centre at 033 48 93 284.

SPECIAL WISHES

Can I order a taxi in a particular colour?
No, that is not possible.

Can I order a taxi with a low or high entry?
Yes, you can. Please indicate when placing your order.

Can I order a taxi from a particular brand?
No, that is not possible.

Can I take my mobility scooter in a taxi?
Your mobility scooter can be transported in a wheelchair van. Please indicate if you wish to take your mobility scooter when placing your order. This allows us to book the right vehicle for you.

Can I travel by taxi while sitting in my wheelchair?
Yes, that is possible. We have special vans that allow for your wheelchair to be secured, so you can continue to sit in your wheelchair. Please indicate if you wish to remain in your wheelchair when placing your order. This allows us to book the right vehicle for you. Bato Personenvervoer meets the code VVR Safe Transport Wheelchair Occupants.

Can I take my bike with me in the taxi?
Generally this is not possible. Only if you travel to Schiphol Airport, and your bike is already disassembled and packed in a carton travel box, we can take it in a Bato taxi van.

Can I order a taxi with a driver of a particular nationality?
No, we do not select our drivers in this manner.

Can I take my pet in the taxi?
Most of the time, yes. Not all drivers take pets. Please indicate when placing your order. However, there is an exception for service dogs (think of guide dogs). Guide dogs cannot be denied by the driver.

Can I order a taxi with a male or female driver?
No, we do not select our drivers in this mannere.

Can I book a taxi with a driver who speaks a particular language?
No, we do not select our drivers in this manner.

Can I order a representative driver with tie?
Yes, you can. Please indicate when placing your order.

I am moving house. Can I ask Bato to move my belongings?
No, Bato is a passenger transport company.

Can I call Bato Personenvervoer for transportation during my wedding festivities?
Absolutely. Please email us at centrale@batopersonenvervoer.nl

TRAVELING WITH CHILDREN

Am I allowed to bring a baby?
Yes, but only if the baby is accompanied by an adult.

Can my child travel by taxi on its own?
An unaccompanied child is allowed to travel by taxi if it is 12 years or older. When you order, please mention the destination, the name of the person who meets the child at arrival and phone numbers of people involved.

Do the taxis have a children’s seat?
No. They don’t need to, taxis have dispensation for this. If it makes you feel more comfortable, feel free to bring your own.

COMPLAINTS AND LOST ITEMS

I lost something in the taxi, what can I do?
In case of lost items, please contact our dispatch centre at 033 48 93 284. In most cases we are able to reunite you with your belongings.

Can I file a complaint anonymously?
No. You are obliged to mention your email address and/or phone number with your complaint.

How can I file a complaint?
If you have a complaint, please fill in the complaint form on our website. If this isn’t a possibility for you, please call 033 48 93 284.

OTHER SERVICES

Can I call Bato Personenvervoer for a short ride?
Yes, drivers from Bato Personenvervoer never refuse short rides. You can always call us.

Will the driver help me with my luggage and with getting in?
Yes, every driver carries your luggage into the car and helps you to get in the vehicle if needed.

Can I be collected from Schiphol Airport?
Yes, you can. As soon as you know your flight details, call us at 033 48 93 284 to pre-order a taxi. Mention the following details: your name, flight number, date and time of arrival and your phone number. The driver will contact you after landing and escort you to your taxi. Your driver will need approximately 60 minutes to get to the airport.
